Currently a tech savvy elementary school teacher in Omaha, Russ has over 10 years of MC/DJ experience in radio, weddings, school dances, office parties, karaoke and music for professional sporting events. When not enjoying family life with his wife and three kids, he serves as the color commentator for broadcasts of Iowa Western Football on 89.7 the River. Russ has a passion for all genres of music, both old and new, and is 1 Eyed Jacks resident musicologist (we checked, it is a real word!). Russ is the engine in the 1EJ machine and is deceptively svelte on the dance floor! He's up to the challenge to learn and teach any new dance at your party! Russ is dedicated to making your event the best it can be. Your satisfaction is his number one priority!

Originally headed to college to be an accountant, Jake took a detour that has heard him use his voice for a living. Working in radio for 15+ years, Jake has made stops at NRG and Journal Radio in Omaha, the Edge in Phoenix & finally at his current home at Iowa Western and 89.7 the River. In 2012, Jake made IW Reiver athletics his primary passion and now serves as the school's Athletic Media Relations Coordinator and Play-By-Play voice for their National Championship programs! In addition to his on-air duties, he also teaches several classes in Iowa Western's Media Studies and Sports Media Technology Programs. In addition to Iowa Western, you may also recognize Jake's voice from local sporting events. He is currently the Public Address Announcer at Century Link Center Omaha for Creighton Men's Basketball and has also performed the same duties for Omaha Storm Chasers / Royals Baseball and UNO Maverick Hockey among others. Jake's reason for starting 1 Eyed Jacks with Russ was to provide a professional DJ service at an affordable price that will make a positive impact on your event!
